SketchUp to AutoCAD 3D Export Results in Surfaces, Not Solids

Hello,

When exporting from SketchUp to AutoCAD as 3D, the geometry is transferred as surfaces instead of solids. This causes me to remodel the work again in AutoCAD, which is very time-consuming.

I need a way to export 3D .dwg files from SketchUp as solids rather than surfaces.
Do you have any recommendations or workflows to achieve this?

Your forum profile says you are using the free web version of SketchUp. If this is correct there is no CAD export option. What version are you really using?

Yeah, this has been a problem as long as I can recall. I never found a way around it. If there is something new I’m not aware of it. Best of luck.
