Hello,

I’m a high school technology teacher in Ontario, Canada, currently using SketchUp for Schools with my students. While I appreciate the free access for educational use, the performance has been very slow and frustrating—especially when reviewing multiple student models.

As an educator, I’m promoting SketchUp in my classroom and helping students develop 3D modeling skills using your platform. However, the limitations of the browser-based version make it hard to manage submissions efficiently.

I kindly ask if you could consider offering improved access or a more functional version for educators—especially those already helping to promote your product in schools.

@davor.vujcic Thank you for reaching out with your feedback, and for your efforts in incorporating SketchUp for Schools into your classroom.

Would you be able to elaborate a bit on how you currently manage student submissions? Are you utilizing Google or Microsoft as a management/storage provider?

My students submit their SketchUp (SKP and PNG files) assignments via Google Classroom platform.

Thanks for the reply @davor.vujcic. Tori is a bit busy at the moment but I wanted to reach out and let you know that we always take feedback seriously andare eager to continue to improve our offerings for the educational market.

Can you explain what an ideal system to manage submissions might look like to you? I am not one of our programmers so I can’t promise anything or code up a solution for you, but I can at least make sure that your feedback is heard and that it is heard by the right team members.
