I’m considering upgrading from the free web version to shop. My main need is to draft in 2d for dxf export to cnc. Does shop have a 2d mode that can make this happen? Thanks!
SketchUp, in all versions, is fundamentally a 3D modeling tool. You can produce 2D drawings but they are actually planar figures embedded in the 3D space. There is no “2d mode”. It requires some attention to detail to avoid accidentally drawing things slightly out of plane, but it can be done.
