After I tested 2017 with Big Sur, and it crashed after a short while, I tested 2018. It lasted a lot longer, so you may be able to do useful work, but be prepared for occasionally crashes. Keep copies of your important files.
2018 has dropped off our list of supported versions, and we’re unlikely to do an update if a problem does occur.
Note that you have until April 3rd to try the two year subscription offer, to see if you get on well with 2021.
