Sketchup Pro/Studio vs business Trimble Connect plan?

Hello there, I’m currently a Sketchup Go user, and am thinking of changing to a plan where 2 of us can collaborate and work on the same project or files, not necessarily at the same time.

I can see there are 3 options in Sketchup - Go, Pro and Studio.
And there are also 3 options in Trimble connect - Personal, Business Monthly and Business Annual.

We are a 2-person team, so I’ve thought Trimble Personal (Free) is sufficient. But it seems my partner has not been able to edit the files I shared with him, via the web link.

I would love your advice on what we should do, so we can view and edit the same project. Do I need to upgrade both Sketchup as well as Trimble?

Thank you so much

If your collegue uses SketchUp for business, he needs to have at least a commercial license (starting with ‘Go’).
Each SketchUp license comes with a Trimble Connect business plan.

However, even when breaking the eula, members of your team should have full access to your projects, provided that the license under the project details in connect.trimble.com are set to the right license, namely your ‘Go’ subscription and that these members didn’t pass the restriction of participating in more than 5 projects…

Hi @MikeWayzovski, thank you so much for explaining it so simply. They should add your explanation to the Sketchup FAQ
