I am going to subscribe to SketchUp Pro ($299/year) and wondering how to do it in order to send the SU drawings to my consultants who use ACAD, we all use now ACAD.

I do this all the time. Well I move files to and from SU to Acad with little to no issue. Using SU Pro 2020 and Acad 2021.

Be aware that if you were to put your model in Layout, you will have more control over linework, annotations and dimensioning … and more control when exporting out to cad.
