Hello Sketchup community.
Currently installing Sketchup Pro 2022 on a LENOVO 30DHCTO1WW _ Windows 10 21H2 _ desktop with multiple video cards.
I was prompted with the attached screenshot message.
Installation wizard recommends changing the default graphics card from Intel to AMD/Nvidia for optimal performance of the application.
If I were to follow the recommendation, could this affect the performance of other image manipulation software installed on the desktop?
Thanks for your feedback.
Have a good afternoon.

The two graphics cards are:
- Intel(R) UHD Graphics P630
- NVIDIA Quadro P2200
The other specialized image software installed are: - ArcGIS Data Interoperability for Pro
- 3.0.36042
- ArcGIS Pro
- 3.0.36056
- Autodesk DWG TrueView 2023 - English
- 24.2.72.0
- DWG TrueView 2023 - English
- 24.2.72.0
- Google Earth Pro
- 7.3.4.8642
You need to tell Windows to use the high performance card - it will affect performance.
How to Set Nvidia Graphics Card As Default in Windows 10 (windowsloop.com)
Windows is doing this to save energy, if you are on a battery and using a lower power mode you are more like to see this.
You can safely use the Nvidia card with SketchUp. Setting that up in the 3D application settings of the Nvidia control panel will not change settings for other applications. Anyway, you should be using the Nvidia for all graphics intensive applications instead of the slow processor-integrated Intel chip.
