SketchUp Pro 2016

New here. When I’m in an existing or new model (doesn’t matter), SketchUp crashes after a few minutes. I’m on a Mac. Version of SketchUp says 16.1.2418

Can’t work like this. Help!

Mac: This update for SketchUp 2016 for Mac is to address a number of issues which arose with the release of Apple MacOS Sierra (10.12)

are you still running Siera or older?

your profile needs more details…

John:

System Preference says macOS Catalina 10.15.4

SketchUp 2016 does seem to not last very long in Catalina. If you are using SketchUp for personal projects you could rung SketchUp Make 2017, it works well enough in Catalina. You can download it from this page:

Also, it’s worth checking if you have a later version license you can use. I will message you about that.

So is my 2016 Pro version obsolete now? No way to repair and continue to use that?

Perhaps you could roll back to an earlier version of the operating system.

One way or another, one must keep the version date of an application within the compatible date range of the OS. So, you must either move SketchUp forward to a version that can run on Catalina or move macOS back to a version that can run your version of SketchUp.
