I’m running two versions of Sketchup pro2016 on my laptop and desktop. My Laptop is starting to fall to bits and I have a much better condition second hand one that I can switch the hard-drive over on. It works but the sketch-up software doesn’t. Has anyone got any advice? I paid quite a lot for the software originally but I appreciate it was around 10 years ago
If you can find the original .exe file you downloaded to install it you can use that on the new one. You should remove the license if you can from the old one once you have an install file to use. You will also need your license info to add to the new one.
Sketchup generally can’t be ‘moved’ it needs to be installed and will be registered to that machine.
Many thanks. I had the licence number starting QA on a usb stick, im not sure about the .exe file. Im not sure I still even have the USB stick but will look. Thank you
Make sure to follow the correct deactivation process on the old machine - if you do not you will lose a deactivation forever*
