Sketchup Pro 2015 Activation - Sorry :(

Treading a path that it seems several others have done before me.

Have a laptop running Sketchup Pro 2015 and have just replaced it with a shiny new Ultra 7 but 2015 won’t activate, clicking on the activate button does nothing.

I understand there’s an issue with the activation server and that there may be a workaround.

Could anybody help?

Well after no response from Trimble I may have found a workaround.

Copied the SketchUp.lic file from the old activated PC in to C:\programdata\SketchUp\SketchUp 2015 on the new PC that wouldn’t activate, launched Sketchup and straight in with no warnings and showing all the licence info.

Fingers crossed.

That shouldn’t work, but may do if you are still using a network device that you used on the old computer. If it does, that’s certainly a good way to cope with a PC that has died.

Waiting on it going back to the client but this is what i’m seeing:

That is a network license, and so may have had its license added in a different way.
