Sketchup layers keep doing their own thing?

I have my drawing. I have scenes saved. Every time I change a scene I update the scene. How is it that when I come back to a scene such as the house footer, just the footer that I saved as a scene but it shows the second floor, the patio’s, the bathroom fixtures, etc.

What is going on and how do I stop this program from doing its own thing on its own???

Sounds like you aren’t managing tags in your SketchUp model correctly. Share the .skp file so we can see how you have it set up.
