SketchUp installation on two machines?

Hello Forum,
in the past I used the “classical licence” and it was possible to use SketchUp on two machines. Of course not at the same time.

A bit ago I refreshed my licence with the way to login in to trimble and get the licence online. So is it true, that I´m only allowed to install SketchUp on only one Machine?
Screenshot shows: “Available seats / total Seats - 0 / 1”.

Thanks in advance, Greetings Peter

You can still use SketchUp on two machines or have two versions (e.g. 2023 and 2024) on one machine. Actually yyou can use SketchUp on as many devices as you want. You just have to sign out of them when you are done to keep activations at 1 or 2.

Thanks Dave. But only on one other machine SketchUp is active. That means, I have to log out on machine #1 and log in on machine #2?

No. You should be able to stay logged in on both machines. But, if you have more than one version activated on one machine, each one counts as an activation.

I have 2022 and 2024 SketchUp installed on 2 Macs and my MacBook Air. My Mac Studio is my primary machine, and then MacBook is used when I travel - occasionally I have to sign in / out - but after the initial installation it all seems easy and stable now. Before I signed back into 2022 I was able to move between two machines using 2024 without issue, but I am still rendering in 2022 (don’t want to change anything in the middle of a planbook project) - so I will use 2022 and VRay…

Thanks Dave.
I checked on all my machines. SketchUp is active only on one.
I sold a MS Surface few months ago. Could be, that SketchUp was active on that machine, before I reinstalled Windows for the buyer.
Is there a way to set everything “free” and activat again?

Yes.

  1. At the SketchUp Welcome window, click Licensing at the lower left.
  2. On the Subscription Plan tab click the blue Manage Subscription button.

The Trimble account portal should open in your default web browser.

  1. Sign in
  2. Choose the account (if you have more than one).
  3. Under the license box on the right, click View Included Applications to expand it …
  4. Under SketchUp Pro click Manage Devices
  5. On the popup click Deauthorize All.

Back in SketchUp, Sign Out and then Sign In again.
