Is this for real?

Yesterday I had a problem where my model which I created for a week using the free web version was GONE. I posted about it here - My project is gone, Help!.

Later that day I found my model - I was able to see the skp file when logging in to Trimble Connect. Great. I was able to work on it some more last night! I saved it and closed the browser.

Tonight I try to open the model (skp file) from Trimble Connect on the web free version again, and … I get this:

ERROR - SketchUp has encountered an error while opening this model.

Is my model corrupt now? How do I fix it?

A fun project is becoming a nightmare

Unfortunately, I think it’s probably corrupted, but try opening it a few more times just in case. File corruption is really rare, but I’ve lost one or two of my files to corruption too. Remember to save a backup file in the future. As burdensome as it is, it’ll save you time in the long run. Best of luck fixing your problem!
