SketchUp for school error

I can not use SketchUp at all. I can sign in and do all of that but when I want to edit something it gets extremely laggy and then I get an error that says “Sorry we are having some technical issues. Our team has been notified.” When I press okay everything disappears, everything just goes away. I can’t see anything all I see is green. I have tried different networks and different computers. I have checked all the PC requirements and my PC exceeds all of those requirements. Can someone please help?

Have you also tried different browsers? Not all browsers are equal as it comes to SketchUp…

Hi @howie1, thanks for the post. I am happy to take a look at your file if you would like and see if there is anything wrong with it. I would also love to know what browser you are running so I can make sure I am using the same browser as you when I run the tests.

Anyway, let me know if you have a chance to share that with me and we can go from there.

I am using the Edge browser. After resetting, I keep getting the same error as stated previously.
I am attaching a link to the project that is giving me to the most problems.

Thanks for the fast reply @howie1. Most of the team is off this week but I am happy to do what I can while everyone else is offline.

I do however need permission to access the file so if you have a moment, allow access to it. After that I’ll take a look as soon as I can.

sorry for the late response, I cannot share the file I have tried so many times, and I keep getting an error saying that the file is too big. I have tried this multiple time also saying that I can’t post this because it has a link and was sent to junk mail. I have been trying to fix this myself for 3 weeks and nothing is working. I go back to school on Monday, and I NEED this problem to be resolved as soon as possible.

Hi @howie1, thanks for the post and sorry to hear that you are still in need of help. I went ahead and checked the file via SketchUp for Schools and it is definitely lagging. I was able to find the issue and remove the item that was causing the lag from your model. I would recommend being more cautious about what you import from the 3D Warehouse in the future. Especially when working with plants. They often contain lots of polygons.

I’ll upload the file to this thread as soon as I have a minute.

Edit, ran a cleanup extension was able to reduce the file size. Here is the cleaned up file:
