SketchUp Diffusion v1.2.24 - New Diffusion Models

To try the new version of SketchUp Diffusion access the Centercode Project here.

With this release we are introducing two new Diffusion models for you to try: Preserve Color, and Relight. Additionally, we are testing a new standard model that includes an upgraded resolution and is utilized for scribble and inpainting tasks. Below you will find a description for each model.

Standard / Default
We are testing a new standard model that includes an upgraded resolution. These enhancements aim to provide higher quality outputs and better overall performance. This new model is also utilized for scribble and inpainting tasks. We are still working on optimizing inpainting with this model. Additionally, we are constantly tweaking default parameters on the server side to ensure optimal performance and quality.

This model combines your model’s viewport, with a prompt and/or a standard style to generate three different images. It extracts edges from the geometry of your model’s viewport and leverages ControlNet to ensure the generated images respect the geometry of your model.

Preserve Color
We have enhanced the Preserve Color model by upgrading its resolution and tweaking some of its default parameters. This ensures better preservation of original colors while providing higher quality outputs.

The colors generated by this model are greatly influenced by the prompt provided. If the colors appear too pale or different from expectations, consider tweaking the prompt or selecting NoStyle with custom keywords. For interior scenes, keywords such as “mat” and “glossy” can help achieve the desired results by guiding the model to apply appropriate material textures.

Relight
This model is particularly useful for describing what kind of light you want the generated image to have. You can include prompts like “noon”, “sunset”, “magic hour”, “night view” and the Relight model will render the image approximating the time of the day or light condition you have prompted Diffusion. The Relight model also does a pretty good job in respecting the materials and colors that are applied to your SketchUp model.

How to use it?

  • Follow all the steps you would typically do using Text Prompts, selecting Styles, or using the Inpainting features.
  • Click on one of the three modes available on the large button:
    • Generate
    • Preserve Color
    • Relight
  • Once you click on any of the options, Diffusion will start generating with the desired diffusion model and downloading the results.
  • Keep in mind that Diffusion will keep generating on top of whatever image is shown in the Preview. If you want to regenerate on top of the original model viewport after a generated image is displayed in the preview space, you will need to click on the refresh button.
  • The three different models can work for both text prompts and inpainting.

Hi @Aristodimos i went to download the new diffusion extension and get the following message

I don’t quite understand this, I get this description on the Centercode page:

You still published the link to the “secret” page!

Can we talk about it or must it be kept confidential?

I can neither deny nor confirm armin’s statement because I am bound by the NDA. :innocent:

Hi @armin,

I fixed the link, you should now see the release page.

Jacques

thanks! @Jacques

Hi @dezmo

Thank you for checking-in here regarding the “legality” of talking about this version of Diffusion. The reality is that Diffusion is already in public labs, so we can openly talk about it.
This specific version whose features are outlined in this thread is indeed in “closed alpha” which is technically bound by the confidential rules presented in the Centercode page that you attached here.
Keeping in mind that any feature in Labs or closed alphas should be considered work in progress, might be unstable, may eventually not be released in production, and eligibility for access to this feature may change at any time (as described under Trimble’s applicable end user terms) it is ok to offer feedback or comments directly in Centercode or in this thread.
However, distribution of this version can and should only happen through the Centercode project.

I too am not able to access the newest version

Hi,

What message do you see? Could you tell us more about your issue?

Jacques

The Diffusion link on the “Early engagement” page linked to in the first post still leads to the “The page you are attempting to access is unavailable” message.

this link?

I have no problem accessing the site or downloading the latest version…

The first rule about the new Diffusion Club is… you don’t talk about Diffusion Club!

I downloaded and played with the new version. Serious improvements and options that give a lot more user control and make it much more practical as an everyday design tool. Big steps in the right direction.

I get a message saying

Hey,

Could you retry, we updated the configuration of that page for new users.

JH

Hi,

Same problem for me.

Thanks

Unfortunately, still gives me the unavailable error.

Diffusion Access

I’m seeing the same thing. Clicking on the Diffusion link takes me to the same message that the page is unavailable.

If you scroll down more below the “Current features to test” the “Diffusion - Installation” link should direct you to the page where you can find a link for the next link which you direct you to the next link from were you will be able to download the latest rbz (which is newer version, than mentioned in this topic title)… :innocent:
With this “chain labyrinth”, they are able to test if you are deserved to be able to test it…

PS: Welcome you to the Centercode reality!
