SketchUp Diffusion v1.2.24 - Inpainting - Mask Tool

To try the new version of SketchUp Diffusion access the Centercode Project here.

Inpainting is a powerful feature of Stable Diffusion that allows users to seamlessly merge generated content with existing images or scenes. With inpainting, users can manipulate specific parts of an image while keeping the overall aesthetic and style consistent. This feature is particularly useful for editing existing images, removing unwanted elements, or adding new objects and backgrounds.

The implementation of inpainting that you will find in SketchUp Diffusion is expressed through three different tools that are fine tuned to perform specific functions; Mask Tool, Erase Tool, and Scribble Tool

The Mask Tool allows you to paint over a specific area and add an additional prompt that will only affect the selected area.

To use the Mask tool you will need to have an image loaded in the Preview space and then follow the steps below:

  1. Click on the button from the top right corner of the Image Preview,
  2. Adjust the diameter of the selection tool using the slider that appears under the button
  3. Paint directly on top of the image preview inside the Diffusion dialogue
  4. Enter a prompt in the prompt area
  5. Click any of the Diffusion models (Generate, Preserve Color, Relight)
  6. Preview any of the generated results by clicking one of the first three thumbnails under the image preview

Settings

While the Selection Tool is active you will be able to adjust the following parameters:

  • Prompt Influence: Controls the level of impact the text prompt will have on the generated image
