I’m trying to get access to the SketchUp & LayOut C SDK for macOS, but the official page currently says it’s not available for public download, and the “request access” form doesn’t seem to be working.
I’m currently blocked on a project that requires programmatic .skp processing, so I’m trying to find a way forward. If anyone has managed to obtain a recent macOS version of the SDK, I’d really appreciate any help or pointers (happy to continue the conversation privately if needed).
Hello,
I can confirm that the C SDK is currently down for maintenance right now. We are also implementing a short form so that people can officially request access to the SDK. This is a small change in process so that we can understand more about who is using the C SDK and how they are using it. This will then help guide us in the features we are able to support the community with.
Apologies for any “bugs” in the form right now, I hope the team will have these rectified soon.
In the meantime, is it possible to download a recent version of the SDK from somewhere else? (If not, we are unable to update our application to support a newer Sketchup version.)
I share the same question as Pelle. Would you happen to know if there are any available links to download previous versions of the SDK?
I’m trying to set up a new machine to continue an automation project I was working on, but now I’m unable to, and I don’t have the zip with the headers and binaries for Mac.
Hello everyone,
I wanted to circle back here to give you an update on the situation here. At present the C SDK is currently unavailable and that also includes access to historic versions. Our team are actively looking into a way to resolve this for you as soon as possible, we understand your frustration. Please bear with us, I hope to have news soon.
Do you already have an update on this? I’ve also applied for access via the form and I’m waiting for a response on it. Just want to make sure it went through, and if there is a workflow in place already.
@mclarkin9681 Please be aware that some work is still ongoing regarding the C SDK at present.
Also, when I checked your email address (the one linked to this forum account) you are not registered as a developer. Without agreeing to our terms we would not be able to permit access to our SDK.
If you have a different email address that you use that is registered as a developer, please email me directly so that I can confirm you have signed the correct terms.
Thank you for the reply. I’ve gone through the “request access” a handful times (from SketchUp Extension Warehouse).. I enter in the message and hit submit. Nothing appears to happen after that. No confirmation or any kind of acknowledgment of submission. I am lgged into Trimble with the same email i use here “mclarkin9681@gmail.com”
