SketchUP angular dimensioning

I saw old topics regarding this issue…is no SketchUP angular dimensioning.?

I understand the Layout has…but why?

Correct. It’s available in LayOut. There is an extension available from Sketchucation called Angular Dimensions 2 that can add angular dimension in SketchUp.

Why is this the case? I don’t know the actual reason but the Dimension tool in SketchUp hasn’t changed in decades. Dimensioning is generally better in LayOut anyway. Better control over text size and appearance in the document.

Thanks a lot DaveR. I just downloaded the extension…for me just seems strange

You’re welcome.

I don’t know about it being strange. Text types of entities really belong in paper space, not model space. I think that’s the logic from the developers with this sort of thing.

Csaba, Üdvözlünk a fórumon!

There’s nothing wrong with that. Sketchup is a 3D design program, it focuses on the model, not the documentation. That’s what Layout is for.

Thanks for your reply…..just trying to check the angle of a particular object….that is not very logic that working in a 3D program you do not need that

You can do that with the Protractor Tool.
