Yours is the same as another one that I already asked the developers to look at. I will check if they made any progress.
thank you. Perplexing.
My settings are the same as yours, with neither metallic nor roughness selected. That’s why I find it very strange.
Although this reply wasn’t for me, I experienced crashes again today when creating a new document using the template, from #3855 to #3861, except for #3859.
There’s one more issue. Just now was my first time using LayOut after upgrading to 2026. When I open a SketchUp model in LayOut, SketchUp crashes upon opening, although LayOut itself is fine. #3880 and #3883.
I’ve encountered a new problem. I’m not sure if it’s because I upgraded to macOS 26.1 or because I installed and uninstalled an indoor assistant plugin, but now I’m unable to customize the toolbar! Right-clicking allows me to select “Customize Toolbar,” but after clicking it, I can’t see any available plugin icons or the “Done” button.I have to close SketchUp or force quit it to exit the state where the icons on the toolbar are flashing.
There are a couple of extensions that are known to interfere with customizing the toolbar: selection toys and 1001bit tools. That leaves open the door that there could be others too.
If you have these, temporarily remove them and you will be able to customize. If you don’t have these, you’ll have to try killing other ones to see if you find another. If you do find one, please report it here so the devs can examine it.
Thank you very much!! It was indeed because of Selection Toys! Yesterday, I installed a plugin set called Home Assistant, and it went ahead and installed a bunch of plugins on its own. Later, when I uninstalled it, it automatically removed the plugins it had installed but left behind this one called Selection Toys!
