Anyway, the download page is full of spelling mistakes. All are underlined in yellow. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
(Really this was my first impression…)

Looks promising especially improvements to Layout inferencing… Excited to try…
I can say the Point cloud terrain mesh works wonderfully after participating in the beta program.
Thank you SU team

Do we know if 2024 is compatible with Mac OS Sonoma?

it is.

23.1 was already working on sonoma, and off course 24 is compatible. it’s technically the first one to be.

Thank you.
I tried LayOut, very smooth with new graphic engine from SketchUp Labs.

Hello everybody,

I’ve just downloaded Sketchup 2024… but it seems V-ray 6 - which is part of the studio package - is not compatible? Is that right?

Greetings,

Michael

In the past, Chaos follows our release with an update to V-Ray so stay tuned on that one.

probably the same with enscape, someone was asking earlier why v4 didn’t work well with 23.1 , maybe they were waiting for 24’s release to roll out the fixes

OK, I will wait.

Thanks for the reply!

I started LayOut (even before starting SketchUp) – opened an older Layout file that I knew was “heavy” with lots of hybrid viewports and PDFs, graphic files, spreadsheets reference attachments which would bring our fastest computer with a GeForce RTX4090 graphics card to its knees… And so far, I’m very impressed with the new Layout graphics engine. With LO22/23 just zooming/panning around that file required the patience of a monk. With LO24 it’s significantly faster and smoother – nothing like a real world example to test out the new version. Great job Trimble – thank you!

just testing SU2024 and it seems like non-native toolbars don’t dock anymore in the SU toolbars?! For instance, if you drag the SelectionToys or SolarNorth over the main toolbar, it doesn’t dock/merge with the toolbar. It just floats. Is that intended? See pic.
Edit also happens if you accidentally move a toolbar like ‘styles’ of the main toolbar and then it won’t dock back again?
Edit 2: easy fix just two posts below by @PaulMcAlenan

Well, didn’t today just get a little bit better!

Check to see if Show windows contents while dragging is off.

If it’s off, try enabling it.
