Sketch up (any version) freezes everytime i pick cursor

my sketch up hangs every time i select the cursor icon. it doesn’t respond and doesn’t work at all. every other icon works perfectly fine without a hitch.

There are several threads and many posts about this. Search for ‘Selection tool slow’.

It’s a combination of Intel graphics drivers and Windows updates that seems to cause it.
