Show hidden geometry and hidden object

Hi.
In SketchUp 2025 and 2026, is there no longer a difference between displaying hidden geometry and displaying hidden objects?
Up until 2024, I could display/hide hidden lines (soft/smooth) and/or hidden objects. Now, with 2025 and 2026, it feels like I’m back in 2018: either I see everything (both hidden lines and hidden objects) or I hide everything.
Is this yet another 2025 bug, or am I doing something wrong?
Thanks

Are you applying tags to edges or faces?

I’d have to say it’s the latter. View>Hidden Geometry and View>Hidden Objects do what they say.

Here I’m hiding a few components. Then toggling Hidden Geometry and Hidden Objects.

If you are hiding the geometry inside a group or component instead of hiding the object, toggling View>Hidden Geometry would make that geometry appear because the object isn’t hidden in that case.

FWIW, it worked correctly in SketchUp 2018, too.

Maybe you could share the .skp file where you see this issue.

First of all, congratulations on the example model!
I always work with edges and faces in tag 0.
Closing SketchUp and restarting it, solved the problem. Since 2025, I’ve often had problems with the interface and some features when I’ve been working for many hours on a complex model. Or when the PC goes into standby mode and then I resume work, the interface breaks down (pieces of toolbars change size and overlap): I have to minimize the window and then maximize it again.

Thanks
