Shadows only appearing on one model and not with textures

Hi, for some reason the shadows are only casting on one model in the middle of my project. not on the ground or any other model in the project. I’ve tried everything in the shadows menu but i don’t think that’s the issue. When i turn shaded on i can see them on ground etc but if i turn on shaded with textures, which i need, they disappear.

Any advice would be much appreciated

many thanks

Share the .skp file with us so we can see what you’ve got set up and help you fix it.

Please correct your forum profile. “lates” is not a useful respose for SketchUp version, operating system, not graphics card. That information can help us help you if you put the correct information in those fields.

It’s too large to upload so maybe i can share a screenshot?

no matter what time of day it is or month etc or utc, the shadows only appear on that table and chairs/benches in the middle, it’s very odd. as i said, when i move around and the model is loading and goes purple and green etc, i can see the shadows but as soon as it loads properly they dissapear…

Well, your screenshot doesn’t give enough information. Upload it to DropBox or We Transfer and share the link.

And complete your forum profile with the correct information.

Check your entity-info/shadow-settings?

maybe the entity-settings to receive / cast shadows were changed?
SU22 receive shadows

or the shadow-settings were changed to not cast shadows on to the ground?
SU22 shadow settings ground

i have done. there are also other models in the project that the shadow isn’t casting on, such as the paving and other plants

I will try to now, but the file is hefty

so here it is just shaded, but i need the shadows with ‘shaded with textures’ on…

also dont know how to correct or change forum profile, sorry, new to this

That still doesn’t help us help you.

Click on the B in the orange circle at the upper right corner of the forum page. Click on the person icon, then Preferences and Profile. Fix the information and scroll to the bottom of the page and Save.
