Selection tool lags unless I pan on the screen

Every time I make a selection in Sketchup using the selection tool, I have to then pan by pressing my scroll wheel on my mouse, before my selection will show up. It is incredibly frustrating as its an unnecessary step I have to take with every single action I make. The same thing happens when I pan around, once I make my next move it jumps to a different view. Im not sure if that makes sense but here is the steps I have to take to work:
-hit spacebar to get selection tool active
-make selection (Objects do not turn blue or anything like they should)
-Pan slightly with scroll button on mouse (selection then turns blue to indicate it has been selected)

It seems as though the graphics are one step behind or something? Anyone had any similar experiences? It is causing all sorts of issues, such as when I try to use the bucket tool to add a material, I will pan around and then click on the face I want to change but the camera will then jump slightly causing the material to go on the wrong face.

Make sure in Window > Preferences > Graphics that you Nvidia GPU is selected to use with SketchUp.

If problem persists:

  1. Make sure you have the latest release of SketchUp.
  2. Try updating your GPU driver through the Nvidia App.
  3. Try purging you model of extraneous resources.

I switched the graphics selected to the Nvidia GPU and restarted sketchup, but the problem persists.
I have the latest Sketchup.
I have updated my driver through the Nvidia website.
There is nothing to purge as this happens with a brand new blank file as well.
Is there something else I can try?

Are you using the old or new graphics engine?

Is fast feedback on or off?

New graphics engine, and fast feed is turned on

Try old graphics engine.
