Select multiple 'thin' lines at once on face face, instead of clicking on each to merge face?

I’m trying to make the left side of the following image look like the right side, without having to resort to clicking half a dozen lines.

It’s a flat surface, just erase them.

you could also go into “wireframe” mode and drag right to left and delete.
or use eraser in that mode to save moving around the other side.
