File is too big to upload
That is imposable because if I take that lower right scene and twist is slightly off parallel they show up fine
You could upload it to DropBox or We Transfer and share the link.
Ok. Nevermind then.
Am i the only one experiencing this?
I think a lot of people use a section marker that is drawn in layout and saved to a Scrap book .You can find examples in the default scrap books. I made my own. I usually have the Sketchup Sections turned off. Sometimes I put them on a tag in sketchup so you can use them as a guide to place the scrap book markers then turn the sketchup tag off.
I should be able to make one section plane, and not on have it show up in any viewport I create,
from any angle I want. The days off a 30 lb. roll of paper, cluttered up with callouts that look like something from a rocket ship’s plan set.
I create a 3d model and share it with all my sub contractors. and thy can orbit around and look at every angle they want, they can also select any scene I create. My plan sets are basically a map for my 3d model.
Should have read ; “and have it show up in any viewport”
You can assign each section plane to a tag or put several on the same tag then you can turn them off to make a scene less cluttered.
This is why i don’t get on these forums,
I am very aware of the tagging system, and the outliner, and the styles
there needs to be a plug in to better manage sections and turn off that awful gray!
Viewports are in Layout, Scenes are in Sketchup Models. Thats why I guided you to a Layout solution.
Best of luck to you.
Experiencing this bug also. On a Mac as well. Toggling the “Ortho” radio button on/off will show the Section Planes in Ortho view but they will disappear in Parallel Projection. Double clicking on the viewport to open it will show the section planes again but as soon as you click off of the viewport and the blue active bounding box disappears, so do the Section Planes.
Quite frustrating so hopefully someone is working for a fix on this.
I have the same problem on SketchUp 24.0.594 – Windows 11 24H2 – NVIDIA 3090 TI.
The issue occurs within the SketchUp scene itself. As soon as I move or click on anything, the section activates. Even if I click a second time on the scene, the section still activates.
This made me realize that the bug is related to the Scene Transition setting, which was set to 0.50 seconds. After turning off Scene Transition, the problem disappeared.
Note that this is only in SU. I didn’t check in LO yet.
