Is anyone else having an issue with section cut fills and section cut lines not showing up in Layout 2026?
I’ve got a model in SketchUp that has a style selected that is supposed to have a white section fill, but the section fill is not showing up in Layout (nor are the thickened section edges). The fill doesn’t show up if I select raster or hybrid.
I tried to rule out the simple issues, like accidentally linking to the wrong layout file, not saving, overridden styles in Layout, etc. Actually if I override to other styles that also have section fills, those styles don’t have section fills either.
See plan sheet 9 in the attached Layout file for an example of where the issue is occurring. It’s weird because this issue seems to begin halfway through page 7 of the plan set, and all the section fills before that page seem to be working fine.
Is this a known issue with Layout 2026, or am I just doing something dumb here?
It looks like it has to do with camera placement. Kind of like clipping. I switched the camera to Perspective for each of those detail scenes and updated them. The section fill then showed up as expected.
More: I set the camera back to Parallel Projection for each of those scenes but didn’t move the camera in. Then I was able to get the fill to show in the viewports.
In LayOut you have the tag Untagged, unchecked. Checking that makes the untagged raw geometry (and section fills from section planes that are untagged I guess) show up.
I tried back as far as 2021, and it still looked the same.
Really appreciate it - I tried both of these and they both made the fills show back up. Checking the box for untagged allowed me to get them to show up without having to do anything to the cameras.
It’s odd that that’s unchecked as it’s turned on in the the SketchUp scenes that Layout is referencing, but that’s ok - as long as I know to look for it, I can fix it!
