When I resize a view window, the selected scale is lost. It isn’t consistent every time, but about 50/50.
below the scale in the sketchup panel on your right, there is a thing to tick to conserve scaling
if you pick a scale, it ticks automatically. but you can also manually tick it.
…and if you untick it, you revert to loosing the scale whenever you resize the window

Yep, I select the specific scale. Resize the window, and the selected scale automatically changes. I’ve been using LayOut for years, this is a bug.

The lock isn’t the issue. When the viewport window is locked, you can’t resize the window, so everything it locked. In the past, you can select the scale of the window and resize the window. The scale was retained.
I’m not talking about locking the viewport.
I’m talking about, in the sketchupModel panel, below the scale, ticking “preserve scale” . doing so preserves scale even if you resize the viewport. like this

Got it, thx for the clarification. Yes, I have preserve scale selected. I’ve actually never noticed it because I’ve never unselected it. Just looked at my drawing, selected the multiple windows and it was selected for all windows. Will create a new window and see if it is selected as “on” automatically.
Yep, that’s what I’m use to as well.

I see why it’s buggin’ you then. really odd, haven’t seen that one yet. Could it has something to do with the complex geometry maybe ? (the fact that it requires a reload and that it jumps during the reload is telling).
if you lower the on-screen quality (in the document’s info panel), does it also jump ?
maybe also try the new mode which name escapes me (sketch ? draft ? press K. it’ll wait until your rescaling is done before reloading the model)
