I just set my mom up with Sketchup Free in order to start some house remodel plans, her files are saved in her trimble account but I cant figure out how to send them to me to continue to work on.
would like to send her files she can open as well.
Any ideas?
Look under the folder-like icon at the top. There you will find an item to download the file to your desktop. In the same menu, “Insert” can load a file from your computer.
She also could invite you as a ‘team member’ in Trimble Connect.
Then, you could open the project, select the file and then edit it.
Hi, it appears the download button only allows pics to be downloaded, not SketchUp files. I’s like to embark on a house design on the free version of SketchUp but switch to Desktop version if I like using the app. However, there doesn’t seem to be a way to export the SketchUp file to open up in the desktop version. Any ideas?
hum… the first choice is a skp file on my end (using an old free account I have)
then indeed an image, but third is a stl, it’s also 3d. for printing.
