When I save a file, I have a hard time opening it, and sometimes cant, It comes up save or open when I say open it just starts over again and nothing happens.
When you installed did you right-click the installer and choose “Run as administrator” ?
If not exit SketchUp and do so. Then in the installer choose the Repair option.
