I’m sure this question has been asked and answered but I can’t find it. I want to rotate text 90 degrees. I select the text but can’t get it to rotate. Help!
If you used the 3D text tool then you rotate it like any other object in SketchUp with the Rotate tool as it is just a component containing edges, curves and faces once you’ve placed it.
If you used the Text tool that gives an arrow leader pointing to the point you clicked, then you can’t rotate that text. It will auto-rotate to face the camera.
The text itself, created with the ‘Text’ tool, is always aligned horizontally on screen.
To create text in some other direction you’ll need the ‘Dimension’ tool (align to dimension) or the ‘3D Text’ tool.
