Somehow I have linked one file to another in Sketchup so in Layout, Document Setup it shows a missing reference to this file. I wish to just remove this reference completely but I cannot. I have tried purging it, unlinking it, renaming the actual linked file, etc. and the reference remains no matter what I do.
How do I remove this reference to this file in Layout?
You first need to find where the reference is used in the document and delete it. Then you should be able to purge the reference.
Also note that selection of a reference in a list of references causes selection of referenced items in a document (it may help to find inserted object in a document).
