Nice pictures. Look like you’ve got a new on idea on the entry. To me the attached garage detracts now that you’ve done all this. Make the doors sexy, low profile,…or detach?
Basically these are quite enough to illustrate your design. I would turn on the Denoiser.
Yeah honestly most of my renders look similar and only the “final issue” ones for clients look photorealistic.
You dont need much to get the idea of light and space.
Yeah its not an easy job but youre on the right track and fast honing in on the ultimate design.
Pros may get to a good design with fewer iterations but who’s design would it be? In this project you are probably learnng a lot about what you & your family values most in a design, and the design brief is developing with every new design option or idea.
IMO this project demonstrates a process of architectural concept design that is still quite new in the world…the “self designed house” aided by techology and played out through iterations of concepts. In years past it was probably up to the individual who kept adding and changing his house with DIY extensions that ended up with the ultimate outcome…now we can do it in digital space. Its brilliant!
Almost every architect struggles with their own project. Most architects i know live in restored period homes or very simple (but elegant) “boxes.”
Thanks for commenting, we think similar
Yep, the beams will easily span the distance, I have 240x190 (8x10) Seasoned Hardwood, you could drive a truck over them.
I slightly reconfigured the kitchen changed the turret size and cantilevered the beams over the posts so now they now line up with the bench.
I like the look of the beams under the ceiling. Here are a few quick screenshots from the model.
Yeh, I like that style, and I tried my best to get rid of the posts yet it did not give purpose to the turret location. @AK_SAM you were right mate.
I think I need to sleep on it, yet now I think I may keep the turret, I like the feeling of space and light, I also want it to be a great place to eat socialise and enjoy a few coldies.
Thanks, Anssi, there are so many options in Vray, I did not see Denoiser, am I missing the obvious?
Does anyone else find that Vray slows Sketchup after rendering (even when stopping the render) and that the only way to bring it back is to close the model and reopen it?
No doubt there is a way to deactivate the connection to the Sketchup model yet I have not found that option either.
Perhaps…
It cleans the noise , adds only some seconds to the render time and, for these quick draft renders, allows you to keep the quality setting quite low.
