Recovering SketchUp file - Hex editor not just zeros

Hi, I had a SketchUp file I was working on for a while that now seems corrupt after my computer crashed. I was saving regularly to my internal harddrive. Renaming the .skb doesn’t work but a hex editor shows there’s still data in the file. If anyone could help me recover or tell me if it’s a lost cause that would be amazing.

Tagging @DaveR and @colin as I’ve seen how much help you guys have given in other forums.

I’m away from my computer at the moment so hopefully Colin can look. But a couple of questions while waiting. Did you experience a power interruption? Your profile indicates SketchUp 2023. Is it a cr acked version? If you use a zipping utility like 7zip to compress the file, how much does the file size get reduced?

Unfortunately about 30% of the file is filled with zeros, and missing enough information that I can’t recover anything.
