Radial Slicing with TIG'S Slicer5

I have started to play around with TIG’s Slicer5. Unfortunately I can’t get radial slicing to work. It seems that whatever parameters I choose, the result looks like in the picture - an odd yello rectangle

Any clue what might go wrong?
