Push text into 3d block

I’m trying to make an engraved-looking sign to print. I want to inset the text and use a different background color to set it off, or a clear to put in a lighted box. Is this possible in SketchUp Web?

Sure. Extrude the text with 0 height, place the 3D text on the face you want to recess it into, explode it and use Push/Pull to push it into the face. Use Intersect Faces to create the required intersections before erasing the unneeded edges and faces.
