Hi Folks,
I’m looking for a way to take a standard mitered rail component in a door frame, and push/pull it to reduce its length by 1/16th of an inch. I know that Push/Pull only affects perpendicular surfaces, but this doesn’t enable me to reduce the size of the rail quickly and efficiently without redrawing. Any advice?

Don’t use Push/Pull. Select the end geometry with a left to right selection window and then use Move to move the selection the required distance.

Glad it works for you. FWIW, the same method works great for making length changes to things like coped door rails, tenoned aprons, raised panels, dovetailed drawer parts, etc.
