I’m at 07:51 in the second tutorial SketchUp Campus and the purple line won’t appear. I hovered over the edge but no purple/magenta line appears when I try to draw a line parallel to the edge. I’d appreciate any advice.
What version of SU are you running? Your profile doesn’t say.
The magenta inferencing only came in with SU 2016 I think.
I’m using 2017. I randomly tried it again just now and its working fine. I don’t know why I couldn’t do it the other night, I restarted the program and everything. Thanks anyway.
I’ve found that getting that inference to catch can be somewhat fussy, sort of like getting a dimension to pull out straight from a sloping edge. With some practice you should be able to build up your intuition about what will work.
