I have had SU 2017 installed for awhile now, and just recently did the update to ver. 17.2.2555 in 64-bit os, Windows 7 Home Premium, and my paint bucket does not offer me the popup window to select materials or colours (yes, colours with a “u”…Canadian eh!). Being the newbie that I am, I haven’t been able to get it back up and running. I am fairly certain it is going to be something simple, but I’ve missed it. Any “sage” advice will be greatly appreciated. Actually, any advice…
Well this is curious?? I had looked in window/default, and materials was selected. But I had no choices. So after your prompt, I went back in there and unselected and re-selected, and lo and behold they are now available. Things that make you go hmmmmmm? Thanks once again DaveR, I am the same guy that posted awhile back that was having issues with SU and the amount of beer that was in my fridge, trying to drink my way to a architectural degree, and apparently I have only managed the hung over part so far.
I’m not sure why it didn’t show at first but I’m glad it does now.
When you installed this latest update, did you right click on the installer and use Run as administrator? If not, you should close SU and do that. You can even do that with a beer in your left hand. Just don’t spill it on the computer. It would be a waste of beer and might let the magic smoke out of your computer.
Ha ha …next time you’re in Campbell River, BC, beer is always cold. I wisely have a wireless key board and tower is above the spill zone, so spillage damage is limited to low dollar value, other than the beer!
So much to learn, and so few brain cells, but I follow the Cliff Claven buffalo theory.
