I have contacted your team and was told whitelisting was required and this was all done - however we are still getting the same error message - currently using the in browser version on windows 10 devices.
We are still getting the error message:
An error has occurred
That’s all we know.
When trying to connect the google accounts to SketchUp
We have been whitelisted but the error still persists, can you have a look into this ASAP and rectify the problem, this is user specific and those that can log on can log in on any device. Those that cannot log in cannot login anywhere.
Is anything common among the users who can not login? i.e. user groups, permissions?
The only common thing is that the error is there for any user in our domain. Adults, students, service accounts, all of them. Any Google Workspace user for cha.org
Hello,
Just trying all my test accounts again and sketchup appears to working again?
Please try again, looks like there was an issue that was resolved on the google side.
Let us know how things are working for you.
Thank you.
While I am no longer seeing the error message “An error has occurred. That’s all we know.” (a positive step :)) I am now getting this message (screenshot attached).
I have tried a different computer, cleared cache and cookies, used an outside network. I have Sketchup for Schools set up in the admin console of Google Workspace correctly. I’m launching it from the shortcut in the waffle launcher inside our school’s Gmail so I know it is the Marketplace
Update: I used a guest session on a Chrome OS device and it worked. Then I went back to my regular profile on the same Chrome OS device and disabled all extensions and it worked. Then I reenabled one extension (1Password in my case) and it stopped working. Does it have to do with browser extensions?
You might have a pop-up blocker extension which would cause issues to the login workflow.
First, maybe Google fixed the “An error has occurred. That’s all we know.” error.
Second, 1Password has a setting in it’s Chrome browser extension.
Flip off “Stop competing sign-in popups in the browser”. So even though Chrome’s own pop-up settings were set to allow, this was overriding as an extension. I didn’t even know about this setting.
Thank you for reporting back. We are glad you your issue is resolved.
Still an ongoing issue for us - the matter is not yet resolved
Have we had an update on what the cause may be
Hi @jawaida , please clear your browser cache and cookies, make sure your pop-up blockers are disabled, and check your extensions as some users saw extension settings over-riding browser settings.
Hello All,
Can we have an update on this, I have tried all the recommended steps this has not resolved it, it is intermittent for users, its a collection of Staff & Students for our Google Education Plus environment.
Can I please have some assistance on this matter.
