Problem with decimal separator with SU in English on Mac OS in French Canadian

After I switched SU 2023 to English, it accepts only the dot as the decimal separator even if my System Preferences is set to use the comma.

This means that I have to retrain my reflexes each time I switch from SU 2022 to SU 2023.

This is far from efficient.

You didn’t have the Colors problem in French, and so long as you stay on Monterey I think you won’t see that. Which should mean you can switch back to using French.

Even so, being in English shouldn’t impose the US delimiter characters. I will take a look at that.

I switched back to French and everything is fine.

However, as you wrote it, changing language should not affect the choices for number formatting.

Do you think I might encounter the same glitch (bug?) with Ventura?

In Ventura you can change the number format without changing the language via an item in the macOS settings. I tried this and successfully flipped back and forth between comma and period for the decimal separator. SketchUp followed correctly. Not at my computer now, so I can’t remember the exact setting, but I think it is under General and maybe localization ?

Ventura, both french and english, it uses my default choice (so, comma)

do you change language only, or keyboard layout at the same time ?

I changed language only.
