Printing question

Just want to know why when I print out documents the font ends up so small.

Are you printing from LayOut?

looks like sketchup to me  !
@shedguy for better control on text / dimension size, it is better to export to Jpg first, as you can adjust line scale multiplier, in the option dialog. Or even PDF

That looks like SketchUp.

SketchUp screen text height is measured in pixels. The pixels your printer prints are much smaller than those on your computer screen.

Thx for the help y’all. It’s sketchup. I’m brand new to it but I’m also computer illiterate. Old construction worker ¯_(ツ)_/¯ so I’ve got a really steep learning curve in front of me I guess.

Defintely would be a good idea to spend some time learning to use LayOut for this stuff. Then use LayOut’s Text and Dimension tools to add that stuff. Much better control over it and it’ll look much better and more professional.

Your materials list can be created as a spreadsheet (could be generated automatically from the SketchUp model if it’s built correctly) and inserted into the LayOut document.
