Printing Issue

what printer are you printing to?

Did you check via Windows to see if the drivers are up to date or did you go to the printer manufacturerā€™s website to check?

Kyocera with a color management system.

There is a Kyocera program installed for management of the printer and drivers. That program said it was up to date.

Management software and drivers may well be up to date but is it worth just checking your print settings when you print?

Sure they ought not to change by themselves butā€¦

I have looked and changed all kinds of settings to see if it at least changes the issue as a clue to what it might be. Nothing has affected it so far.

I have sent screenshots in an email reply to Trimble. I have not heard anything back since yesterday.

Sorry, I had a strange day yesterday. Iā€™m trying to find any colleague who has a printer, so they can do more tests than I can. Our entry cards for the office have been disabled, otherwise I could do the 20 minute walk to the office, to do tests there.

I have tried different printer settings and nothing seems to change it. I am going to do a fresh install.

If you are referring to a fresh install of SketchUp and LayOut, make sure you right click on the installer and choose Run as administrator.

Still the same issueā€¦

Here is the list of things I have tried in no particular order:

Driver update from windows
Driver update from printer app
Driver Update from printer site
Setting changes from Layout window
Settings changes from printer window
Uninstalling then reinstalling SketchUp
Repairing SketchUp
Graphics card Driver Update

What about instead of printing to your printer, print instead (not the Layout export to PDF) to Microsoft PDF or another PDF print driver like PrimoPDF and see if that prints out okā€¦

It exports just fine to pdf. I print from the pdf right now. The export to image is very buggy right now too. I have to try three or four times to get it to show all the information.

He already said that exporting a PDF from LayOut and printing that works OK
Microsoft PDF is known to have problems, so better use another one (there are a zillion, free and paying)

Yes, but what I was suggesting was to instead of print to the printer, print to a PDF writer instead

Why do you think that a printed PDF is better than an exported one if that already works OK with the OPā€™s printer?

Usually these happen when there is a discrepancy between the page size in the Print setup and Document setup dialogs or with the paper actually loaded in the printer, but canā€™t be sure.

Suggesting ideas to diagnose the problemā€¦

Exporting Images is not working either. It deletes all the measurements.

Are you referring to dimensions? Where were the dimensions added? In SU or in LO?
