I was thinking about upgrading to Sketchup Pro this month. I was saving up for a pretty long time and BAMM a price increase… I mean I know you guys need to make money but a 100€ increase thats just too much… at least warn us or something before price increases. That way I could have asked someone to loan me some money to buy it right away.

exactly because of this a one-time adjustment to the weak €uro, btw 80 €uros not 100 at least for the 1 year maintenance lic.
