Podium Render over exposing Sketchup Scene

I have applied a Podium render to various scenes within my sketchup file, and it is overexposing a certain area (meeting table) within the scene. I have adjusted the shadows/changed the time of day/ used the Podium default setting and the Interior default and Interior Bright settings - and it doesnt seem to fix the problem.

See podium file attached.

It looks like there is a hidden high intensity spotlight over the table. I agree it looks unnatural.

That’s likely because podium doesn’t have a modern tonemapper to take those high intensity values and map them to the very limited range that is offered by a screen.

However given this scene, which generally looks underexposed, I suspect that you could help this by illuminating everything with more light - which will mean the difference between those very shady parts of the room and those handful of artificial lights is smaller and the “camera” won’t need to try and increase the exposure to make everything visible.

Hi Dan,

Thanks for your input. Is there anyway to find out if there is a hidden spotlight - I did take a light out of the scene because I thought it was the issue. Is there a possibility that the spotlight is still in the scene?

Thanks

Brenda

Sorry, I am not a Podium user. I suggest posting in the Podium forum:
