[Plugin] NT_Replacer - new replacer for SU25

NT Replacer is a SketchUp plugin that lets you quickly swap one or multiple entities with another while preserving their materials and layers. It offers three replace modes:

  1. Normal Replace – Standard replacement.
  2. Scale to Fit – Replacement scaled to match the target’s dimensions.
  3. Paste In Place – Replacement pasted into the exact same position.

It’s FREE! I hope to make a small contribution to help make your work easier!

Key Features

  1. Works on Groups, Components, and Dynamic Components
  2. Compatible with both 2D and 3D entities
  3. Deep-Level Selection – Select nested entities without drilling into each group/component
  4. In Normal Replace, preserves the replacement’s layer, material, and scale
  5. In Scale to Fit, automatically redraws Dynamic Components in groups of the same scale
  6. In Paste In Place, pastes a copy of the replacement at each selected entity’s level

I just trialled replacing a DC with another DC.

Replacing adopts the original versions component options, see below:

replace 1

Replacing a scaled DC adopts the correct scale, but reports incorrect data, see below:

replace 2

Just giving you an eyes up!

Could you please send me the specific DC where this bug occurs? I’ve tested it in several DCs but haven’t encountered the issue yet. This plugin has some annoying behavior because it follows the axes of instances during replacement, which makes it really hard to use. I have a plan to update it to make it much easier. Do you have any ideas to promote this plugin? Please send them to me.

I can’t send them mate, they contain a lot of proprietary IP! Sorry! :frowning:

Ideas: There is a bit of clunkiness when an item is not yet selected. This, in my view needs a bit of work!
