Hi everyone,
I was wondering if I could get some advice on modelling the form attached. It is inspired by James Gorst Architects New Temple.

Nothing attached!
Yes exactly! Wow thank you Dave!
OK, I started by drawing a circle for the outside and another for the inside which I extruded into a tube and made a component.
Then I made “cutter” the shape of the openings and made another solid component.
After that I used Difference from Bool Tools 2 although you could use Subtract from Eneroth Solid Tools or the native Solid Tools to subtract the cutter from the tube. I prefer Bool Tools 2 and Eneroth Solid Tools over the native Solid Tools but you can do whatever you like.
Sorry Dave I’m still a bit stuck using the subtract tool - I’m a new user and haven’t quite got grips with all the tools yet
You should probably start with the tutorials at learn.sketchup.com before you dive in to creating complex stuff.
Your example is very good and basic Dave.
Thanks for all the help, I really appreciate you taking the time. I’ll get back to you once I’ve worked it out
There sure are a lot of people that need to learn a lot before asking questions.
That may not have come across as you meant it to, but asking questions is a great way to learn.
I’ve spent my life doing it and I would encourage everybody to do likewise.
