Plane xy visible when exporting images

Hi all, is there an option to turn off the xy plane when exporting jpg? I have a flat with two floors and when I export the staircase images there is a blurry plane.

Can you share the .skp file so we can see exactly how your model is set up?

Sketchup file.skp (5.6 MB)

Most of your model is drawn below the ground plane. Three options to deal with it.

  1. Move your whole model up so it is above the ground plane. I would do this regardless of the other options.
  2. Turn off the Ground in the style and update the style.
  3. Untick Show ground from below and update the style.

Even if you turn off the ground and untick Show ground from below, I think you opught to move the model up so it’s not below the ground plane.

Another note on your model because I always check this: Make sure you are using tags correctly. In your model some of the geometry is tagged. All edges and faces should be untagged. Only components and groups should get tags.

Many thanks! problem solved. I only increased the transparency of the ground.

So none of the suggestions I made?

I’ve edited the style as you suggested. I needed to hide the ground only in the view of the staircase. Thanks for the suggestions on the tags. I usually select the whole objects
