I cannot place this component (2x6x8) on top of the foundation blocks, which are currently a group. What am I missing. I’ve searched the interwebs for 2 days with no luck. Im a novice at drafting.
That you are working in 2D in a 3D modeling application and you have the zero-thickness faces in the same location so the graphics card will show both of them. If you are going to use SketchUp you need to think in three dimensions. Make the blocks 3D objects or at the very least, move them up in the z-direction so they aren’t on the face underneath.
BTW, it would be smarter to make a component of one of the blocks and copy it to make the rest of the walls.
