I really enjoyed this session, very interesting and educational, also learned a few new tricks myself (specifically the follow me tool for generating complex roofs with one common pitch).
With my own complex roof module the situation where I have the algorithm breaking down is where the fascia line or gutter line is non-continuous (vertically) around the roof. It is a bit difficult to explain this particular situation in words but the model below presents an excellent example of what I am describing:

This session and subsequent thought has my gears turning again and maybe I can devise a more general algorithm that will successfully model even a complex roof with a non-continuous fascia.
